Keep reading to learn more about this week’s fashionista from New Delhi.

HM: Describe your style in one word.
AK:
Evolving.

HM: Who is you favorite fashion designer?
AK:
Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough at Proenza Schouler, Stefano Pilati for YSL, Erdem, Francisco Costa at Calvin Klein, Olivier Theyskens, Manish Arora, Christophe Decarnin for Balmain, Pheobe Philo, Ricardo Tisci at Givenchy, Nicholas Ghesquiere at Balenciaga, Matthew Williamson, Bibhu Mohapatra, Yigal Azrouel, Marios Schwab for Halston (I know I’m one of the few on this one), Naeem Khan. And I don’t even think I’ve touched the surface yet.

HM: What is your dream travel destination?
AK:
Ibiza!

HM: What would you pack if you could only bring one item?
AK:
A shift in a metallic hue and a thick texture.

HM: What makes you feel glamorous?
AK:
Being well groomed, I’m going to have to say. And also, I wear heels constantly. Even to the supermarket!

HM: What is your best-kept beauty secret?
AK:
I don’t really have one except that I never use a toner on my skin and use a sugar scrub from French Connection every alternate evening and that really works for my skin. I guess you have to find what works for you!

HM: What advice would you give to those who are aspiring to make it big in the fashion industry?
AK:
I think the most important part is really seeing where you’d fit in and finding your place and working towards it. It’s a tough industry and it’s very different from say, becoming a lawyer. Paying your dues is really important so interning is the start of everything for everyone, whether you want to be Philip Lim or Karla Otto.

HM: What are your three fashion must-haves?
AK:
Right now? Leather shorts, silk screened tops and structural wedges.
