We sat down with this week’s fashionista to get her tips on everything from how to make it in the industry to her can’t live without items. Read on.
HM: Describe your style in one word.
KS: Evolving.
HM: Who is you favorite fashion designer?
KS: That is such an unfair question! Totally depends on my mood, look, and occasion. I love Prabal Gurung, Valentino, Karen Caldwell (a new dress designer) to Gucci, Elizabeth and James, Elaine Kim, and Vince! I love clothing and great design!
HM: What is your dream travel destination?
KS: Bali.
HM: What would you pack if you could only bring one item?
KS: If I had to pick one it would probably be my camera!
HM: What makes you feel glamorous?
KS: Cashmere and jewelry!
HM: What is your best-kept beauty secret?
KS: Between my style blogette and my clients it is hard to say that I have any secrets at this point! I love my All Nighter hair powder. I have very thin hair so it is great on second day hair to add volume!
HM: What advice would you give to those who are aspiring to make it big in the fashion industry?
KS: Work hard, show up and do what you say you are going to do!
HM: Who has the best tweets?
KS: Chelsea Handler- I love a woman who doesn’t take herself too seriously and works her ass off!
HM: What is your favorite online shopping destination?
KS: Shopbop and Gilt Group.
HM: What are your three fashion must-haves?
KS: Lots of dresses! A great dress can take you from morning meetings to a red carpet! Killer pair of heels- nothing sexier. A statement accessory, added bonus if it means something to you as well.
