What do you get when two fashion editors from New York City decide to take a girls’ trip to Miami? A fabulous getaway filled with glamour, excitement and tons of hotspots. I took a world-wind trip to Miami with one of my closest friends Ashley Caputo, an editor at Zink Magazine. It was a crazy stylish weekend rendezvous through the nation’s most sizzling city, Miami! The trip solidified my desire to move to Miami one day or at least get a condo there for the weekend. Below is our itinerary, Enjoy! xoxo MIMI
8.p.m. Arrive At The Sagamore Hotel
We arrived to our gorgeous two-story bungalow suite at the Sagamore Hotel directly from the airport. We were taken aback by the truly Miami style design of the hotel known for its art scene inspiration and the contemporary glamour. The hotel is located in the historic Art-Deco District and is steps away from the top restaurants and nightlife and complete with its own private slice of the beach.
The first floor of our suite featured a spacious living room while the second housed the bedroom and bath complete with a relaxing whirlpool. Each floor was complete with balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean.
We had a great time unwinding on the balcony with a glass wine before getting ready to head out for a night of Miami fun. The next day we had breakfast pool side and then headed to the beach where we got our tan on while sipping cocktails via Sagamore’s beach service.

11 p.m. Drinks At Hyde Beach – South Beach
Out of all of the clubs we hit in Miami, Hyde Beach at the SLS hotel takes the cake. The chic crowd, amazing DJs and delicious cocktails all come together for an unforgettable night out. We had an amazing time socializing with Miami’s glitterati and dancing the night away on our first night in M.I.A.
The next day we hit the pool party which kind of reminded us of our Vegas days but with a unique Miami vibe. The food by Jose Andres was just out of this world.

10 a.m. Lounge Beachside
We hit the beach for a few hours to take in the beautiful weather and lay out! We rented chairs from the Sagamore Hotel, which came with a very attentive cocktail server.
12 p.m. Check Into The W Hotel South Beach
We like a little variety so on our second day we checked into the notorious W South Beach Hotel. The hotel is known for having one of the most unforgettable views of the Atlantic and is one of the most gorgeous beachfronts in Miami. It could make anyone of us want to settle down and set-up residence in one its suites, so much so we almost didn’t come back to New York.
We were greeted to our luxurious suite with a bottle of Merlot and our favorite dessert: macarons! The modern, sleek design of our room was right up our alley.
With an in-house Bliss Spa and an impressive list of restaurant partners including celebrity-magnet Mr. Chow and The Dutch, W South Beach solidifies its spot as the choice destination hotel for both W’s jet-set guests and Miami’s most fashionable locals.

1 p.m. Lunch At The Edge Steakhouse, Four Seasons Miami
We may be fashionistas but we love our steak! So we headed to one of the best steakhouses in Miami, The Edge Steakhouse situated in the Four Seasons Hotel. The casual luxe atmosphere of the restaurant was a relaxing break from the high-octane music and décor Miami is known for. We chowed down on succulent steaks grilled to perfection and shared a few appetizers like shrimp and grits & baked potatoes. The highlight of our lunch was being able to meet chef who came out to greet us!

9 p.m. Dinner: Juvia
Juvia is a must-stop restaurant for anyone traveling to Miami. Its camouflaged, penthouse location provides breathtaking panoramic views of the city and ocean. It’s incredibly beautiful by day, and ultra sultry and romantic by night. Juvia’s Executive Chef Sunny Oh, who controlled the kitchen at Nobu for a decade, seamlessly blends the flavors and culinary traditions of Asia, France, and South America. With mouth-watering appetizers like Causa Croquette Sugarcane skewered Hawaiian Blue Prawn, Sautéed Duck Margret and Chilean Sea Bass. But lets not forget the best part: dessert. We won’t spill all the delicious details, but those who have a sweet tooth should definitely try the Chocolate Candy Bar or Choco Croustilla. A delicious way to end our trip!
